GTA 6 Fever: Xbox Unveils Crocodile-Inspired Console as Survey Reveals What Fans Would Give Up for Early Access

GTA 6 Fever: Xbox Unveils Crocodile-Inspired Console as Survey Reveals What Fans Would Give Up for Early Access

These initiatives highlight the enormous interest surrounding GTA 6, which continues to attract attention from companies and consumers alike, even before its arrival.

Xbox Series X-BITE: Microsoft takes inspiration from Florida

Without an official marketing partnership for GTA 6—a deal involving Rockstar Games and Sony—Microsoft has found a different way to join the excitement surrounding the game's launch.

The company introduced the Xbox Series X-BITE, a special edition console housed inside an artificial crocodile measuring more than 1.5 meters (approximately five feet) in length. The design references Florida's wildlife, drawing a connection to Leonida, the fictional state inspired by Florida where GTA 6 takes place.

The custom-built structure features several distinctive details, including a green eye with an Xbox logo-shaped pupil. The crocodile's mouth also serves as a display stand for an exclusive wireless controller featuring bite-mark-inspired details.

The console will not be available for general sale. According to the promotional campaign, only one unit has been produced in collaboration with a special effects studio. It will be offered through a giveaway exclusively for U.S. residents, with entries scheduled to close on November 10, 2026.

Although Microsoft does not explicitly mention GTA 6 in the campaign, the connection to the game is difficult to overlook, particularly given the references to Florida and the setting inspired by Vice City.

Survey reveals what gamers would give up for early access

Beyond promotional campaigns, the excitement surrounding GTA 6 is also reflected in a survey conducted among American gamers. The study presented participants with hypothetical scenarios to determine what they would be willing to give up in exchange for the opportunity to play the game before its official release.

Two findings stood out.

More than 20% of respondents said they would be willing to go an entire month without sex in exchange for early access to the game. The figure reached 25% among female respondents and 19% among male respondents. Among players who had already pre-ordered the title, the percentage climbed to 32%.

Another finding involved pets. Among respondents who had already pre-ordered the game and owned pets, approximately 13% said they would be willing to give up spending time with their animals for an entire week in exchange for early access to GTA 6.

It is worth emphasizing that these responses reflect hypothetical situations presented to survey participants. They do not necessarily indicate that respondents intend to abandon their pets or put their relationships at risk.

GTA 6 is already making an impact before launch

The promotional campaigns and survey findings demonstrate how Grand Theft Auto VI has become one of the gaming industry's biggest talking points ahead of its release.

From a crocodile-shaped custom console to unusual responses from players, the level of interest surrounding the upcoming title highlights the commercial and cultural influence Rockstar Games has built around the franchise over the years.

With its release scheduled for November 19, 2026, GTA 6 remains one of the most anticipated games in recent memory. The question now is whether its commercial performance will live up to the extraordinary attention it has received before reaching players.
